Thursdays are always one of my favorite days because it's time to play with my dishes and join our gracious hostess Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to hop over to her blog and see the wonderful table she has set and all of the others participating.
Today I am doing a Fall tablescape and using a set of salad plates that I am also offering as one of my giveaways for my 100th Post and Pay It Forward celebration. Please stop by my giveaway post here. I found 2 sets of these lovely dishes and thought they would be great as one of my giveaways. I've kept one set and am giving the other one away to one of you. I really hope you will enter to see all of the gifts, there are 4 of them, and I hope you win.
I've used a hurrican lamp that I've had for many years as the centerpiece. I really like how versatile this piece is and it always makes me think of fall, so I've given the table a little fall decor.
I filled the hurrican with a bag of potpourri I found at the Dollar Tree. The candle is one I had and has a wonderful apple scent.
I've embellished the hurricane with a berry garland that I just looped around and stuck a few picks in. The picks and the small pumpkins came from the Dollar Tree and the larger gourd and acorn I found at Hobby Lobby on sale at 40% off.
The candle smells so good and the berry garland looks so pretty I think.
Another view of the entire tablescape. I've added several tealights to add extra ambiance when it gets later in the evening.
Each of the salad plates display a different fruit. I also really love the pretty checked border around the edge of the plate. The pear has such beautiful color and shading.
Love this pretty stem of grapes.
Don't the cherry's look really ripe, sweet and juicy.
The apple is colored so well too. This shows you a picture of the entire place setting. My everyday flatware, small yellow and white windowpane napkins, wicker placemats and a cream checked tablecloth.
The yellow plate that I am using as the dinner plate is Home Plate - Nikko - Woodbury. It also has grapes and leaves embossed all around the edge.
The larger plate that I am using as a charger is International Tableworks - Arbor. I found both of these plates at the GW. It has a trellis design with strawberries and leaves embossed on it's edge.
The amber stems are ones I've had for years and came from Pier One.
With the sun going down and all the candles lit the tealights give the gourds and pumpkins a beautiful glow.
All of the table comes alive with the glow of candle light.
I do so hope you will be sure to enter my giveaways. This set of fruit salad plates are one of four gifts that I am offering for my celebration. Below are pictures of the other gifts that I would love to send your way.
Shabby Chic white cutwork tray, 4 toile placemats and 4 napkins.
Four Friendly Village salad plates by Johnson Bros.
